Do you let people know?

I know your site is new and all, but I have uploaded a gadget and have not heard anything about it. I've also noticed that there are not many gadgets on here yet anyway! What is the situation regarding approving?

All Gadgets are fully tested before they are approved. Moderation teams are still currently being established, so patience is key at this point. I know that the approval/rejection email system is experiencing hiccups, so notification is iffy. Your best bet is to be patient for a little while longer and see how things go.

Cerebro,

I have the same issue, i have a gadget that was approved and i made an update that made it "installable" trying to make it better for the customers, and its been "awaiting approval" for a week now.

You need volunteers for the "teams"?

The moderation ques are having some issues, I think. I have an updated gadget in moderation too, but its only been there for 24 hours, so I cant say whether there is a problem or not. However, I did note some wierd things when I updated it, so I've got those being looked into.

As for moderation volunteers, all that is still being worked out. In time, I think there will be a moderation team, but right now its all internal Stardock staff, I think. I'm not a moderator either, I just happen to talk alot with people who can get things fixed on the site.

Ok this is just NUTS..

Its been over 2 weeks since i made a change to my gadget and its still "awating approval"
If this is how this site is going to "work" its not going to make it very long.

I made the gadget better, and it was already approved, so whats the big deal?

Somehow this has to get worked out.

I have emailed several people, used the contact info here, left these posts, and nothing.

Its not worth the effort.

RomanDA, you're not the only one frustrated. I've not had feedback (see new post). I suspect people have been distracted with WindowBlinds 5, though I'm not saying that is an excuse.

I've been informed that Brad's gone through and moderated the entire waiting queue as of last night. Those who had items waiting should have emails informing them of their gadget's status (make sure it didn't get filtered into your Junk Mail folder).

Also, prior to last week, we were having problems with the rejection emails not getting sent out properly. So if your gadget was not approved (last week or before) there is a good chance that the email describing why it was rejected did not get sent. We do apologize for some of these kinks we have in the system and we are getting them straightened out.

At this time all gadgets have either been approved or rejected. If you are seeing something different please let us know.

Thanks for the updates. We know we are trying hard on this project and there are bound to be some teething problems. I guess it's just frustration when we're all so excited by the opportunity

Yes, I can confirm that I now have confirmation that my gadget has now been moderated and that it was found to be rubbish! After all that waiting for it to be approved and it ends up in the garbage can! Ah well, never mind, I did rush the gadget out a bit quick as I wanted to maximise my sales. That'll teach me to get greedy! Back to the drawing board, I guess!
